I use to call dope the dream stealer as i never dreamt when i was smoking weed/hash.

Yup.

Although I sleep deeply when baked, I don't think it's quality sleep really.

...and once you have a daily smoke to sleep habit, breaking it is a nightmare (excuse the pun).

Oh definitely. When I was a daily smoker, on the rare occasions I had to go a couple of days without, the rebound dreams consisted of horrific nightmares.
