So a couple of weeks ago I accidently tumble dried a vial of about half a g of mdma the md looks the same as it did before and the vial it was in is totally intact . Is the md likely to be sweet for consumption or is there the risk of it being something else due to the heat ?

It's fine; clothes dryers don't get hot enough to damage MDMA (at least in the time frame involved.)
As a reliable general rule, when drugs get broken down by something, they become inactive (rather than being converted into something else that's still similarly psychoactive.)
