Hard and dark music appreciation thread

It's not techno, but when I'm in the mood for dark music, I turn to trip hop; here is one of my favorite examples from a band called Red Snapper:

That entire album is an under rated masterpiece of dark, atmospheric music. Easily as good as the best stuff you'll hear from Massive Attack. Listen to that whole track, it just keeps getting better.

I really think as far as a "dark" sound goes, you can't get any better than Wardruna.

My dog's ears go back in fear at the sound of the Norwegian music group.

Um, also these:

Sigur Ros
the song "If I had a heart"
Dead Can Dance

everything around me seemed to move in slow motion.

Where's all the dub step in this bitch? when I think hard and dark that's my shit I'll post a mix later if anyone is interested

Suggestions? My usual problem with dubstep is that it's insufficiently dark and weird (on top of being less than creative and more than a tad repetitious at times, particularly when there's no lead synth line). I've found things I like that push dubstep's limits:

Hecq has a background in dark ambient and truly experimental electronic, and it shows through here:

2methylbulbe1ol (what the fuck kind of band name is that? It's like something I'd come up with...:p). Regardless, there're some breakcore/glitch influences abounding:
