Three more young adults have pleaded guilty to drug charges stemming from an apartment raid in 2012.
Five people between the ages of 18 and 20 were arrested in July 2012 at the Summit Crossing apartment complex in what Forsyth County Sheriff’s investigators described as a major blow to drug distributors.
Earlier this month, the two men who had been renting the apartment, Noah Paul Spicer and Alex Michael Robichaux, each received five years on probation for a litany of drug charges.
Spicer, 21, pleaded guilty Oct. 7 to one count each of possession with intent to distribute methadone, ecstasy, LSD and marijuana.
Both Spicer and Robichaux, 19, pleaded guilty to one count each of possession of marijuana, ketamine, DMT and DMA, both of which are psychedelic drugs.
Spicer also pleaded to one additional charge for possession of diazepam, a prescription medication usually known by the brand name Valium.
The four counts for possession with intent to distribute were dropped against Robichaux, who entered his plea Friday in Forsyth County Superior Court.
Both men must also submit to a substance abuse evaluation and undergo any recommended treatment and complete 120 hours of community service, according to the conditions of probation.
Evan Michael Snider, 21, also arrested during the investigation, pleaded guilty Oct. 7 to a misdemeanor charge of possession of marijuana. The remaining counts were merged.
Snider received a year on probation, also with the conditions of 120 hours of community service and required substance abuse evaluation.
The sheriff’s office found the drugs in the home rented by Spicer and Robichaux, but authorities reported all five who were arrested lived there at the time.
Also found in the residence were scales, bags, more than 100 pipes and cash.
Joshua Taylor Bell, 20, was the first of the five young adults to plead guilty in September.
Bell received 60 to 120 days in jail and five years on probation in September for four counts of possession with intent to distribute and four counts of drug possession, the same substances as Spicer except for diazepam.
Kara Lane Buffington, 19, awaits trial on the eight counts to which Bell pleaded guilty.
If the case reaches trial, her four co-defendants must testify against her, according to a condition of their probation. Those men also cannot have any contact with each other.
