Got some OC 40s. How to prep to inject

I have ran across some Oxy OC 40s and want to inject them. I scraped the coating off the tablet, crushed it up and hit it with a half syringe of water and it just made a mess. Not a mess like the reformulated OP 40's - I know about that. But I thought the old OC 40s would dissolve and be shootable.

Where am I messing up? Definitely old school OC 40s and not the reformulated stuff.

Can you be sure they are 100% legit?
I was under the impression that the old ones would dissolve really easily too (with a bit of heat under the spoon/can/whatever).
Have you got any way of testing them?
Have you taken or snorted them? If so did they feel like genuine oxy?
Alot of fakes going around that are fent, even blister packs.
