Film Get the Gringo (2012)

Alrighty.

Well for a minute let's forget all the personal drama surrounding Mel Gibson. We all know he has issues.

That aside, he's been a part of some pretty fuckin badass films. Mad Max, etc

This Mel gibson movie was released a few months ago, and follows a criminal protagonist who just stole a bunch of money through his experience. He just narrowly escapes the US police as he makes it across the US/Mexico border.

On the other side, he's far from safe. Hes thrown into a Mexican prison (and for those of you who know what they are like.......) and has to find a way to get back the money he stole before the people he stole it from finds him and kills him, or before he gets killed in prison.

He makes some friends along the way...

I really enjoyed this film! I'll add more to this later

This is on Netflix Instant. I stuck it in my queue for a "high viewing" session. Its reviews have been strong for an action flick, and that's not even factoring in the whole anti-Semitic masochist thing shaving a few points off people's ratings. Mass culture has certainly forgiven worse in its willingness to consume media made by controversial figures, and with Gibson, at least combined with the convenience of streaming and the forgiving/apathetic effect of cannabis and liquor, I'm willing to be part of the problem.

It was worth a watch, i enjoyed it from what a remember.

Wow, this movie sucked ass. Hated it with a passion. Was expecting alot more. I guess when the bar is raised so high its only a matter of time when you free-fall.
