Replacing the di-phenyl-methoxy on GBR piperazine type stimulants, anyone know of a source where it's been done? I'm looking for novel "typical" DAT uptake inhibitors (that act as a ligand in the "open-to-out" conformation of the dopamine transporter). Since GBRs are congeners of benztropines; which in turn are modified from cocaine by the double phenyl split from a methoxy and this changes it to an "atypical" (closed-to-out) binding ligand, I wonder if the diphenylmethoxy were replaced on GBR (which is a benztropine given a piperazine in place of the tropane) if it'd yield a typical, or if the stereochemistry etc. would be too far removed to yield a MAT ligand of any kind.
