Hey, so Im wondering if I would be able to function normally as in talk to people and just act normal in general around 6 hours after dropping a 100microg acid tab? never tripped before only ever microdosed. I know its all dependent on the person but in general is it possible? thanks :)

it depends on what the situation is, who the people are and what the context is, but i would definitely say no.

normal? on. i wouldn't want to count on being able to function normally, because LSD severely distorts your thoughts and sense of reality for over 5 hours.

i used to do all sorts of socialising on acid and shrooms and stuff, when i used to trip a lot - because i was familiar with that state. but it was still weird.

it's a drag having to interact with sober people (or worse - drunk people) when you are on acid. i would recommend avoiding that on your first go round - just take it in a relaxing setting with no responsibilities, you'll enjoy it way more.

If you've never tripped before, the best advice would be to stay the fuck away from other people. Do it with a close friend and get out into the countryside, preferably at night. Revel in the magnificence of nature and feast upon the moon and stars...

Actually, stay home (with a friend for safety reasons) and watch movies. Believe it or not, Moana is surprisingly trippy! Other Disney movies too or if that?s not your thing there?s pink flyod?s the wall. Or the matrix for cool special effects

I would absolutely not count on being able to pass for normal 6 hours into LSD, you'll still be tripping. I can act fairly normal on LSD but I've tripped hundreds of times over the last 17 years, and I still don't like to have to try to act normal. LSD lasts 8-12 hours depending on dose and it really does last that long.

The first couple of times I did acid I used similar dosage and had people around both times, first time me and a mate with a sitter, second time ended up going to a bar.

The first time the sitter described us as either really funny to laugh at, or incredibly annoying the rest of the time. My thoughts were going too fast so I'd try and talk to the sitter (a close friend) but I'd lose track of what point I was trying to make and start mumbling or just give up halfway through, and this lasted somewhere around 6-8hr mark.

Second time I went to a bar with a group of friends who were mostly just drinking. I was getting auditory hallucinations so I couldn't hear what anyone was saying clearly even in the smoking area, so I couldn't communicate back and looked simple (doing the classic nod along as people were talking and then not realizing when they'd asked a question). + getting distracted with visuals as well. This was around 4-6hr mark with a couple of beers.

Basically depends on the situation: whether you'll be with friends who won't really care, or be with family who will notice something is up

Adding to this: I?ve tripped around by parents and i believe I?m quite normal. If I want to gaze at something in an odd way I take to my room. But I?m fine functioning normally on acid.

On top of what everyone else said, do you really want to go into the trip knowing you have to play it cool in 6 hours?

I can function normally after that but have tripped many times, the only thing that gives me out are the pupils.

200 ug and 250 ug are doable (for me) too but imo people start noticing something is off

I did quite a bit of acid back in the day. In my personal experience, I would not count on being able to function on LSD.

When I did it alone, by myself, I was always able to pull myself together enough to do simple things, like put on a movie, or cook a frozen pizza, even if it took a while. But around others, all that went out the window especially when it came to decision making. LSD severely inhibits my ability to form decisions. If someone asked me if we should go to the park or the beach once the LSD took hold, it became nearly impossible to maintain the agency required to decide without taking half an hour. This is especially bad when I was with others that also took LSD. We made a point out of deciding what to do before taking the LSD, otherwise we'd get caught in the loop for hours trying to form a decision and a consensus. Write in on a piece of paper, put it in your pocket, and when THAT happens, just look at the paper and go with it.

Heh, nice idea, but one which relies upon retaining the ability to comprehend the written language. I'd be more likely to spend ages passing the piece of paper around my mates asking "but what does it mean?"

FUBAR, that's a valid point. If you're so far into it that written language stops making sense, I would think it's safe to say that one can no longer function in any capacity :D
