Have you tried explaining to her what had happened, from your point of view? I'm guessing you did something that you regret while you were blacked out. It can be very hard to face and deal with things that you did while intoxicated, things that you may not even remember, and worse, things that seem senseless and out of character to even you. In my own experience, the sting of shame is quite sharp when attempting to apologize for things you aren't even sure why you did them. However, I'm pretty sure that anyone who truly cares for you would rather hear those words than reading a suicide note.
