Hello all. A good friend is detoxing from H tomorrow. Been using for 6 months. Half gram a day habit. Has been on opiates for years. Went to rhe methadone clinic. Eventually tapered down and was 100% clean for 6 months. Then started snorting H and then moved to injecting. Over the last month, have been injecting a half gram per day. I would consider it decent stuff but friend is not sure.
Have to go out of town tomorrow and will have 0 access to anything. Friend has 1 subutex 8mg. And 4 suboxone strips 8mg. 4 perc 5s. And 6 tab 10s.
Did last shot at 5pm today. Friend has had little issue with precipitated withdrawl. Just a few days ago the friend did 4mg of subutex after 19 hours since last shot. Over the past couple days, friend has been tapering H use some. Doing 2.5 grams instead of 5. Trying to get as much info in the post as possible.
Friend is very scared about going out of town with expectations to not just be laying around. Needless to say, friend is very upset with herself for letting her life get like this again and in a lot of ways is looking forward to the trip as a chance to get her life back in order.
But, very worried about detox.
The current plan is to take 1 MG of sub tomorrow around 11 am. Just to make sure PWD does not set in. If all is well, take 2-3 more MG. Then 2 more MG at night to sleep. Then 4 MG the next day as my friend will be helping someone move. Then begin a gradual taper with the remaining sub.
Taking 2MG Then 1 MG Per Day. Maybe finishing off with the perc and tabs at the very end.
Any advice, suggestions, words of support anyone can give would be greatly appreciated. Nobody really to talk to about this.
