Hi.

Sorry for the basic post.

I am suffering from some symptoms since i have had covid.

Seen a drug by a company called berlin cures that advertises that they may have found a successful treatment for patients with long covid.

This is where i get a bit lost.

Can anyone tell me even what this chemical is? They call it BC 007 (Berlin Cures, Berlin, Germany), a DNA aptamer drug with a high affinity to GPCR-AAbs.

So what actually is this drug? Anyone have a clue who can read these things with some pharmacology/chemical background?

Aptamers are little bits of DNA that bind to an epitope (you could kind of over simplify and consider it an antibody made from nucleotides).

These aptamers are targeting autoantibodies to the beta 2 adrenergic receptor, which cause receptor activation. The beta 2 receptor is found in the heart, and its activation increases the heart rate. These aptamers should prevent the auto antibody mediated increase in HR.

I had just read a paper about long covid showing low cortisol levels and altered immune cell function.
