I've only heard it used for cannabis, not for cocaine.

Predominately used in Latin America or places like Texas where we used the term. Scama or the Spanish word "escamas" which literally translates to scale is used to describe uncut cocaine which is often called fishscale for its flaky and shiny appearance.
