First time IV self user stuffed up big time.

Been injecting morphine for a month now.
Once a week. A friend usually does this.

I attempted myself last night on my left arm missed a bunch of times so just have red dots and a lil Brusing. That should heal.

I tried my right arm today. And seen a tiny amount of blood go up the needle. I thought it was in the vein. It can't have been as
I had to apply a lot of pressure to the syringe. As the liquid come out I could see my skin slowly expand like a Baloon.

Luckily only 0.1 ml was injected.

As I said the skin expanded like a baloon ever so slightly.
So now there's a bruise about 2 inches long.
It feels like a lump where the needle was

There is also a red mark about 7mm in diameter

Could the lump be the fluid?
If so
Will my muscles or blood vessels absorb it.
How long will it take approx to dissappear.
Or will it stay there permenant.

Also the site where injected has quiet a large vein. But along the site the vein feels thicker than usual. Could just be because the lump is so close to the vein.

It's tender to the touch. Sore like a bruise.

No other side effects. I feel fine otherwise.

It's only been 3 hours since this happened

It does look quiet minor at this stage. It's hardly noticeable. Only if you really look. Pinch and feel you notice the lump

Why don't you go to the doctor? You don't have to use your regular one. There is definitely some kind of place for people with addiction near you? There you should find specialist, I mean people with experience, for issues like yours.

To be honest it's the 3rd shot swim ever done. First self attempt. I'm just wondering if it's in the muscle if swim have to worry. Or if it will go away on its own.. obviously swim missed the vein and the little that went in went either under the skin or in the muscle. Leaving fluid there to cause a slight bubble.

stop using SWIM that isnt allowed here
and if you dont feel sick which would be signs of an infection then you can take your pick on what to do
im sure you irritated the fuck out of the vein and lets be honest if it took 2 days to get a shot in there is a super strong chance thats what happen
aside from blood clots
if it doesnt get better in the next day or 2 seek professional medical help and i really suggest you not trying to IV anymore

I'm just concerned for this person so needed to ask advice. This person hadn't tried this particular vein today as its the one he used last week (sussessfully).

So the vein would only be irritated by the one missed hit. . I would imagine the amount of pressure he had to put on the syringe means he injected into skin or muscle.. the actual lump itself is around 5mm as it was only a tiny amount before he realised it was expanding like a baloon..

This should disolve over time and the lump should deminish is that correct?

a single miss can cause that type of reaction, its that easy to damage a vein
if the hit was a success there shouldnt be any pressure in the syringe youll see the blood flow and with a minimum amount of pressure is all it would take to inject
swelling up like a balloon means it wasnt successful we can only give so much info blinded as we cant see the site

but yes in time itll go back down to normal in the user is exp anything anything out of the ordinary minus the given pain and swelling head to the nearest ER
and do go its not worth losing your life or a limb which is very possible from something as minor as missing a vein

and trust me the ER doesnt care what you do or don't in your free time all they care about is taking care of you and sending you on your way
LE is only called with stabbings, shootings etc

Dude, just say "i".
We don't use "swim", "my friend" or any of that stuff - it makes you posts difficult/annoying to read, and offers you absolutely no legal protection (not that you are seriously incriminating yourself by posting about using drugs anyway).
It's in the bluelight user agreement, which you should familiarise yourself with before posting.

Plus, you're far more likely to get more helpful replies if you write like the rest of us do.

Having said all of that - I really think if you are worried about getting an infection/abcess, you should seek medical attention ASAP. Unchecked infections from IV use can have very catastrophic consequences.
We really can't tell you much else beyond "get to the hospital" because it would be thoroughly irresponsible to reassure you that everything will be fine - nobody here knows that - and we have had members lose arms (and worse) from shooting drugs.
