My wife is way into the books and I think has read them all (?) so I took her to see this the other night. I dont know anything about the books, but the movie itself kept my interest. I thought it was very cinematic with slices of humor mixed in. The girl's Dad was kind of funny. I really liked the scene where the Cullens (sp?) were out playing baseball and the other 3 vampires showed up.

it is a very popular series and i loved it, can't wait to see the movie. it is by no means a quality film but was a great story, easy and entertaining.

Sounds like Harry Potter for goth kids, per se. Definite pass.

I think Anne Rice already did this 1000% times better, and I am not a big fan of hers. To bad her husband died and she went off her nut, or she'd still be satisfying the goth crowd.

This twlight shit is unbearable I can't even stomach reading the wikipedia sumarry about the plot. A creepy obsession with virginity, 100 year old vampire lusting over a prepubescent girl... yeah. This will be like Harry Potter, just another stupid fad that will be forgotten and then unearthed to embarass people with later on.

I wondered into this thread thinking it's about the Charles Chaplin film, but then I realized that Charles Chaplin was never in a movie called Twilight. Then I remembered that the movie I was thinking of was called City Lights and I wondered how the fuck I could mix the two up.
If you wanna see a good vampire film watch Nosferatu.

Kristin Stewart is hot but she can't act for damn sure. I watched her in Panic Room, Zathura, Into the Wild, Jumper AND Twilight (I actually thought she was pretty good in Panic room) before I realized , hey waitaminit, she isn't even acting, she's just being her eye blinking, sighing, stuttering self in ALL her movies and even her press interviews.

Absolutely awful. I've read soo many bad reviews, but I ended up seeing it anyway (thanks lil' sis!) I tried to watch it, but jesus christ it's bad. 90% of the movie is just people staring at each other across rooms & that watching-you-sleep thing the guy does is just plain creepy.
