I'm seeing it tomorrow night! I'm so excited. My flatmate bought our tickets weeks ago. I love that I can talk about my Harry Potter love to other 20 somethings and most of them will nod in agreement.

we'll watch it in imax like we did the last one. but both of tonight's sessions were sold out, so next week it must be then. maybe sunday.

good thing i can get AUD$10 vouchers. the full price for a feature in imax is about AUD$25.

It was definitely worth the price of admission yet it could have been even better. Still a very good movie though.

saw it today with Swerz. i give it 3 stars, even though it was a good movie and what not, it was waaay too long

twas okay. i liked getting into a $27 for $10. spewing the 3D only lasted for the first 15-20 mins and that's it.

the story is more of the same. this happens and then that happens and then this and then that this that. there is no emotion. nor is there any character development.
2/5

I saw it for free due to my ninja-like ability to walk into the side when someone is walking out. I give it 3 1/2 stars. I like how it gets darker with each film. The cast was great as always. And it was full of surprises since i haven't read the book. I will, ali. Stop mean mugging me.

The Drako Malfoy part seemed to be missing a lot of story. Must all be in the book. I'm still confused about Snape.

exactly , it jumps around way too much , very dull and seems it's only purpose is to lead the way to the movie finale

^ while agree that, in many ways it sets the scene for the finale, it's the penultimate book and that's somewhat inevitable. jumps around way too much? have you read the book? the book also jumps around a lot but that's by design - there's a great deal of flash back (via pensieve memories) and it wouldn't have made much sense for the movie not to follow the same non-linear time-line, would it?

why do you think it was dull? you can level much criticism at all the books but dull seems a little harsh?

alasdair

based on the films alone, i had no vested emotional interest in any of the characters. they do have extremely brief moments which spark some akin to characterisation, but the melodramatic plot pushes them way out back.

six movies of people talking about how special this kid is supposed to be yet nothing actually demonstrating that he is anything more than his mates. do something already!

Seriously. Going by the movies, Hermione seems more advanced and special than Harry. Plus by now, everyone should know to take Harry at his word. He ALWAYS tells them Voldemort is back, (does no nose ever leave?) there are ALWAYS those who tell him he's full of shite and he ALWAYS proves them wrong. Very repetitive, to say the least.

The special fx were done very well but the plot felt REALLY long and I think I almost burst my bladder by the time I got up afterwards to use the bathroom. I'd give it 3 and a half stars.

Fuck this film. God damn. I avoided it for ages, ran out of things to watch and thought fuck it, I'll watch Harry Potter, it must have something going for it. Big mistake. Worst piece of shit I've seen in fucking years. Crosses back and forth between badly written teenage angst bullshit that seems like it's straight out of some teen high school TV show, into a plot that is so thin and cliche ridden that it doesn't even deserve the term plot. I REALLY don't get it. If you're a little kid, then sure. But to be an adult Harry Potter fan is pretty fucking weird. Seriously. This shit is garbage.

I'd say I dislike about 4 out of every 5 films I watch.

This one was particularly bad.
