I liked this movie. It was very odd, possibly the most unique movie I've seen in a while.

The humour reminded me of Russel Coight's All Aussie Adventures and Flight of the Conchords (the tv series). Which is a good thing.

The aliens, the alien weapons and the scenes where the alien and the guy were fighting side by side reminded me of Halo. Which is a good thing.

The style of humour felt a bit out of place by the end of the movie, as it had become so dark.

I rate it a tomato / potato.

Good movie. I disagree with people who said that a sequel couldn't/shouldn't be made, because...

[spoil]At the end, it says that all the aliens had been transferred from District 9 to the refugee camp outside the city. It never says whether Christopher comes back and saves them or not. That could be the subject of the second movie. And what about the main human character? Does he ever get transformed back into a human, or does he stay an alien forever? And what happens to the corporation? Do they ever get punished for their experimentation on the aliens? There were too many questions left unanswered. I think they do intend to make a sequel. Let's hope they do it right...[/spoil]
