I was checking the bio-availability for fentanyl and (per wiki) noticed transdermal is aparenty 96%, nasal is 85% and buccal was like 50%.

Anyone have any thoughts on if you could dose a fentanyl nasal spray by just spraying it on a highly absorbent area of the body. I believe a fatty area would work best, because it is lipophlic if I am not correct.

I now, it's a nasal spray so why not just use it that way. But, just kind of curious if anyone thinks this would work well. The one benefit I think is possible is that when used as a nasal spray a lot is swallowed before it can adsorb, especially when administering several sprays. It seems any more than 2 per nostril at a time is a waste, the nasopharynx can only hold so much water before you just swallow it down.

I think it'd absorb too fast.... if using as much as a patch has even 50 micros/hr would be a hella dose over a few minutes. I like to smoke the gel :) sweating or bathing with a patch can lead to od tho, ive seen it

Nasal sprays usually don't contain as much fentanyl as a patch, so if it's like 25 mcg a spray it should be alright
