Opioids Fentanyl intramuscular Duration

Say if we had an ampule of fentanyl, and we administered it IM how long would its duration be? I have used the search engine & found nothing

Also i am confused, how come IM takes forever to clear sometimes (vaccines) & other times clears out quickly (eg ampule of morphine )?

Following intramuscular administration, the onset of action is from seven to eight minutes, and the duration of action is one to two hours. As with longer acting opioid analgesics, the duration of the respiratory depressant effect of fentanyl may be longer than the analgesic effect.

Seems very short, but fent is notorious for that anyway.

I've had a medic give me im fentanyl 100mcg
It lasted like 30min (I told the medic to double the dose, two vials, since she couldn't get a iv in)

Vaccines like the flu jab or COVID jab?
Vaccines last a long time because they contain an inactive virus and your body builds antibodies to fight it, so if you get the real virus in your body, your antibodies fight and kill the fucker before it can reproduce and fuck you up.

Drugs like fentanyl or anything psychoactive just temporary trick your body into releasing feel-good chemicals like dopamine or serotonin etc.
Once the drug is excreted the effects wear off. Totally different kettle of fish than vaccines.
