she went on to do a lot more pop/country stuff that got to be pretty popular, but this was when she was dark punk/folk scary music which i kind of prefer. that's my favorite cat power album, but it's all pretty good

i actually thought this was the singer of cat power's earlier music when i first heard it, but i did some research and it's a completely different lady just shares a similar accent. cool surf type classic punk

no more room left for me to post videos in this post, but i'm surprised no one posted about portishead or fiona apple... good thread, surprised to see people listening to something like wet leg.... i feel like i'm missing some classic female stuff that wasn't posted though.. i'll have to give this some more thought over the next couple days... oh yeah, molly nilsson wasn't posted in this thread. i checked her out because of this site and watched all her music videos on you tube.
