Hi
I gave up opiates in September 2016 with a tolerance of about 60mg oxycodone.
I relapsed in January, 40mg didnt do much for me
Relapsed again in march 30mg oxy didnt do much for me.
Gave rest of pills away, cos i have no desire to do them, told the person they were doing me a favour by taking them off my hands.
I didnt get withdrawals after the two relapses as I only took the pills in one dose, no redosing same day.
Anyway, I'm worried that even if I tell my doctor that I am an ex opiate addict, they will prescribe narcotics and even if I tell them to control the dosage and not let me have any except for pain releif only, in other words, to be really strict with me, I am still worried that I will become readdicted, because I am worried it will take more than one dose to get me through the pain of hysterectomy.
I used to take them to get rid of my anxiety not to get a buzz or a nod, but 30mg did nothing in March, so I decided that was that, and once I knew I might need an operation, I definitely didnt want to be upping my tolerance.
So, bottom line, how can i get through the pain of the operation without becoming readdicted to opiates?
thank you
