Benzos Etizolam is actually a strong benzo? Will I be able to switch to temazepam for sleep?

So I read some topics here and apparently etizolam is a strong benzo? I thought it is actually among the weak ones? I though flunitrazepam was a strong benzo, which at 1mg knocks me out compared to etizolam.

I am using 0.75mg in the night to help me sleep. If I don't take it I have no WD but cannot sleep (I am insomniac and can't sleep since 15). Maybe I use another 0.75mg during the day for panic attacks (I have never abused benzos and don't have the tendency, only use them so I don't suffer so much)

Will switching to 10mg temazepam work for me now? I want it to be able to sleep.

Also, will 0.25mg Xanax work for my panic attacks during the day?

Thanks a lot everybody, I am extremely stressed since etizolam became illegal because it really helped with my insomnia, now I need to find something that can help before I end up homeless because I can't go to work from sleeplessness
 
I have no benzo tolerance and 10mg temazepam was weak. Had to bump it up to 30mg to fall asleep without effort.
The other rc benzos still readily available that could be good for sleep are bromazolam and nitrazolam.
 
What do you consider strong? Mg amount or the actual effect's?

Temazepam is ime at a very sensible dose of 10mg in no way comparable to the bland nature of Etizolam. I would use Etizolam for sleeping and save the Temazepam for recreation. Its short action acting like Midazolam make's it a terrible sleep Benzo.
 
Imma say that etizolam is way weaker than alprazolam mg vs mg. like way.
anyone agree or disagree?
 
Technically etizolam isnt a benzodiazepine.

But it sure as hell feels close to diazepam with more euphoria and much shorter half life.

I prefer etiz over temazepam for euphoria/recreation

You are taking the equivalent of that in etizolam right now so it should be just as effective. Keep in mind not all of the benzos work the same and some just don't work at all for some people. So you never know for sure until you try. You just need to find the equivalent dose of whatever you're trying to change to compared to etizolam and start there.

For example, I usually take 3mg of xanax (tolerance + massive insomniac) to force myself to sleep. A comparable Ativan dose of 6mg may or may not work. I find Ativan less effective and need to take higher doses for the same effect. 10mg of Valium feel about as effective as 0.5mg of xanax for me. Even though the charts say it's the same at 1mg of xanax. It goes on and on with all the others I've used.

Etizolam feels like a cross between xanax and valium to me. As a result I take about 4-5mg and find it about as effective as 3mg of xanax. I don't feel a body load at all with xanax. With valium I do in higher doses. With Etiz it's somewhere between the two. Ativan has a bit of a body load as well for me above 6mg. All are bad drugs for having fun unless combined with opioids. I mainly used them to induce sleep or nods. ;) If I tried to get high on just xanax I was would always just end up forgetting the night and spending all my money.

You're on very lose doses. All benzos should be pretty effective for you. Just keep in mind that you'll eventually build tolerance and will need to go higher. It's best to only use benzos for sleep for 2 weeks then get off of them for a bit. I break this rule often when I have them so I understand. There are other things you can cycle the benzos with to make sure they stay effective at lower doses longer. But you're always going to have a tough couple of nights going from benzos to something else. It's just the price you pay. No way to avoid the rebound anxiety and insomnia I'm afraid.
 
As far as equivalencies go, IME, I think the following is quite accurate: etizolam 0.75mg = diazepam 5mg = alprazolam 0.375mg.
Converting to hypnotics is tougher, so I'd add the following as a rough estimate: etizolam 0.75mg = temazepam 10mg = flunitrazepam 0.25-0.5mg*

*I've seen both equivalencies for flunitrazepam and, unlike the others, I don't have firsthand experience with it. FWIW, I find nitrazepam 5mg to be subjectively stronger than the diazepam 10mg it is usually converted to (more like 15mg), so I think it's likely that flunitrazepam punches above its weight as well.

The same caveat about hypnotics' uniqueness applies to temazepam, but I would say etizolam probably has a closer "kinship" with temazepam than flunitrazepam, so it should be easier. (I'd say etizolam and temazepam almost have a "friend of a friend" relationship, with their mutual acquaintance diazepam right in the cozy middle.)

Ultimately, my answers are (in order of question asked):
1. ['strong benzo?'] "This is debatable, but you weren't on a strong dose so the point is pretty much moot."
2. ['temaz 10mg?'] "Yes, this is likely to work just fine, if not better since it's more hypnotic."
3. ['xanax 0.25mg?'] "It will certainly help, possibly a little weaker, in which case take #1½."

Id reccomend trying to get something with a longer half life like diazepam and taper every week or so. Go as slow as you can. I was in this predicament and i got off it before the uk ban so you can aswell.

Man reading this is like benzo porn to me.
i would prefer alprazolam out of any of them. they hit fast and hard for me. may be a shorter acting benz but it lasts long enough ime. sometimes too long.

Not agreeing or disagreeing they just totally different 'beast's', Alprazolam seems to be about 1.5 to 2 times as strong. But prone to f*k ups, Etizolam is about 1/2 as powerful on a mg basis but way more manageable/ chiller. Why its not prescribed is to me a mystery. Alprazolam is in the drug bible Eti's are not.

So calculating in the mg differences they are about equal. The differences Alprazolam is way harder hitting, has (more) amnesiac properties. And has a way of getting out of hand. 'the well known- Well i don't feel anything so I'll take one more- effect'

To me its the other way around.

Temazepam is as close to a re creative Benzo as I know it. Flunitrazepam didn't live up to its hype. I have high hopes for Nimetazepam. But gettin' that is futile (for me), not even gonna try.

But ranked Etizolam is nr one the usefulness scale. Temazepam nr. 1 on the recreation one followed by Clonazolam, but actually enjoying black out benzo's is like martial art's. It takes long practice and its at a long distance for a nr. 2. Maybe it shares its place with Diazepam, which has the advantage of easy dosing and predictable effect's. The other RC invention's, especially the ones with disastrous effects, are not even on my scale.

I get to try Clobazam, which I am prescribed, so in a short whileI can tell you how that will feel?
 
Be mindful with Etiz, with pure powder solutions, always know your dose.

And know your limit. What you can handle.

I totally do. But Etiz in olive oil vs PG which I'm too allergic to, makes for uneven inconsistent dissolution which accumulates on the bottom glass.

The times I have overdosed, like estimated 35 mg's on paper 5, due to said problem above.

Basically, from meticulously weighing and mincing 250 mg's into 70 grams olive oil for just under 1 mg per 0.333 ml, I need to daily use the metal tool to stir up the bottom all over, as shaking is insufficient.

2 days ago I fell backwards, unbalanced into the bath tub undressing to shower after an ungaugable dose and broke ribs in my back. Messy. I then was blacked out for over 8 hours.

Things happened anyway I came round to a shitstorm with a broken back and minimal recollection.

If the dose had been what it should be, nothing like that would have happened.

Do be careful with powder. It isn't the first time this exact issuehas occured, but this is the first time some actual real harm occured.

It sounds safer. This is just a little part of my life's story too. It almost doesn't seem real, things already being a real washing machine.

I may live though, as in no scars.

My future was barely more secure before this occurence.

We are talking insanely messy though.

I guess we all have fucked up lives, otherwise we wouldn't be on benzos and heroin and prolly wouldn't know about this forum either
 
With the different "conversions" posted I wonder if purity of product is a common factor in it's efficacy...? Obviously it is but wondering if "otc" benzos have a great variance in purity.

I once took 1.5mg CLONAZOLAM from a supposedly reputable Dutch vendor (selling legal RCs, it was legal at the time)

And even drank alcohol that day without any effects, while 1.5mg Etizolam from another Dutch vendor knock me to sleep.

So I d say they vary tremendously, ranging from 99% pure to completely fake stuff
