I shared one of this guy's articles a while back on this forum and it got a great discussion. Here's another one...I really enjoy his writing! I don't think this is radically different than most of the views shared by the users on this forum (if anything, it's probably affirming them), but I still thought it would be appropriate to share!

I read a science article a few days ago that stated that psychedelics (in this case mushrooms) actually caused the part of the brain that carries out higher mental/cognitive function to be slowed down in activity and the part of the brain that is active during sleep becomes more active when these chemicals are ingested. Doesn't really have much to do with the topic but interesting none the less.
