DXM Question

buddy of mine took like 100mg of

which is 300 mg of dextrome

and felt extremely ill cold shake and vomiting with a gut wrenching feeling the whole time, he was wondering if any of the extra ingredients could of caused this

He could be allergic to DXM itself.

Otherwise there isn't anything in there to cause the vomiting IMO. Guafinesen and Sorbitol is what usually causes it.

Otherwise DXM itself induces nausea and some are allergic to it. Some can convert DXM-->DXO and DXO is what you want to get high on.

DXM causes the histamine release and dry heaves and such iirc.

he was taking it for a sore throat previously he only felt so overwhelmingly sick after he had 100mg of IT, aka 300 mg of dextrome

DXM is a cough medicine. I don't see how that can help a sore throat.

Some people just can't stomach it.
I have a friend who can drink robitussin easily. I have to pinch my nose.
I have a friend who vomits every time.
This friend probably cannot stomach the syrup. Or the high dose of DXM.
