Drug interaction with Piperine?

I was just prescribed Uceris 9mg (generic Budesonide ER) which is metabolized through CYP3a4, but I have been taking 1g of turmeric and 10mg of Piperine daily. I was wondering if there could be a significant interaction with the Piperine, but Pharmacists can’t tell me. I’d appreciate any info

Both of those are within levels you'd expect to see in consumption of a nicely spiced curry everyday, I don't think it's worth worrying over.

a nicely spiced curry isnt without its problems. i remember eating curry and taking my usual meds and experiencing a bad reaction one time of those few times ive done it. definately inhibiting CYP3a4 aint good idea and lots of spices and various herbs do that. i would proceed with caution. still not exactly sure why people are so dedicated to incorporating piperine into their daily stacks as to enhance bioavailablity, but thats also going to enhance toxicity for even the most harmless generally well tolerated foods, herbs, spices, teas. etc
