Drug Culture Cry Post

I m sad because me and my wife should probably do more sex and less drugs, which is great so I ve something to be sorry about and I can still hang out with u guys.
Because it has been a real cool day I m high, the missus managed to do blow without having a psychosis , I ve started a new musical project with the only musician I know who s not into drugs and is like a musician for real, like he attended the conservatory and stuff, I can t even read music but if he likes what I do maybe I m not that bad. Plus I m happy to have cheered my buddy @gordonliddy up a little .

dunno where are you from, but as a former international student in the UK I can tell u that I was dirt poor , and that many overseas students (who had to pay crazy fees) were not always that rich, many received scholarships with conditions like " If you don t come back and get the highest possible grades, we will torture and kill your parents". The enemy is who s speculating on houses, I m no socialist and I like free market economy, but for services and products, housing education health are no products no services, are the basic minimum....

I'm from Toronto......and, no, the students are well off for the most part. Obviously not 100% of them, but the vast majority. We've had a whole problem here with international students being lured to Canada with false promises and even to attend fake schools. The numbers of students has been incredible. It's a real problem here, all around.
The immigration scams, the number of students, the fake schools, the cost of tuition for internationals, the cost of housing, the SEVERE lack of housing, and on and on. And now new immigrants are starting to leave Canada in numbers because of the absolutely deranged and unmoored from fundamentals cost of living.

I see, back in the days the UK was part of the EU but the overseas students had to pay crazy fees already, plus in many cases their offer was conditional ( they had to attend a super expensive English crash course, as if it s possible to learn English in 2-3 months). LAst but not least, many overseas colleagues of mine were simply not PhD material, but as long as they were paying they were more than welcome to try, so they ended up wasting money and time for nothing.
