Dramamine and ginger root for dxm nausea

So I have to take the ACT soon and I plan on dxm tripping the night after (about a week from today). Recently I purchased some Dramamine and ginger root capsules (550 mg per capsule) as I heard those things should reduce the nausea that comes after taking dxm. I was wondering how much Dramamine/ginger root I should take to reduce the nausea and how long before taking dxm should I take it. Should I take one or the other or both?

A normal antihistamine like Diphenhydramine should suffice IME. If you are one to be sensitive to DXM's nausea then you will puke IME.

Some people can stomach it and some can't. Either way it usually ends in a great trip.

Dramamine has DPH in it but "Diphenhydramate" or whatever Dramamine is, is stimulating and may add to the body load. That's just my $0.02
