Hello,

I'm new to this site and am in need of assistance with dosing using an insulin needle.

I have a 1000mg/10mL bottle of fluid and am looking to determine what value on an insulin needle would equate to 1mg.

I'm a total newbie and in need of some much needed advise.

Appreciate any help!

Hey Dudley, and welcome to PD...

Just incase you are still unsure: 100 units marked on the syringe = 1ml...

The smaller increments 10, 20, 30, = 0.1ml, 0.2ml, 0.3ml and so on..

If 10ml = 1000mg, then 1ml (one full syringe) would be 100mg.. 2ml = 200mg etc..

Hope this helps...

G'day Mate,

Thanks for the replay it reaffirms my thought.

1000mg divided by 10 = 100mg per ml. Then each tenth of a ml = 10mg.

Really appreciate the replay.

Cheers,

Dudley
