Does this seem right? I can't seem to make any sense of it.

So basically what it’s saying is that drugs on the low end of that spectrum have a greater action to inhibit the serotonin transporter (SERT) and drugs on the high end have a greater action to inhibit the dopamine transporter. SERT is responsible for the reuptake of serotonin by the presynaptic cell so if reuptake is inhibited there would be more serotonin in the synaptic cleft and hence more signaling being triggered by it. DAT does the same but for dopamine.

in a formula:
inhibition ratio = (DAT inhibition)/(SERT inhibition)

Therefore high SERT inhibition in say MDMA for example leads to a small value in this measure because the denominator is larger than the numerator
