does heroin have a ceiling?

just wondering, because I just heard someone say that opiate tolerance is virtually limitless and a fellow I know right now who's been using nonstop for years says he doesn't get high unless he smokes a halfball of dope, which is ridiculous.
what's the highest/most ridiculous habit you've witnessed and did it ever max out? or will your tolerance just rise forever?

I would imagine that if heroin had a ceiling then there would be less ODs. What seems to be a ridiculous amount for one is not necessarily always the case for another. Nowadays, it seems that it's become more adulterated anyway where I know addicts that often have to shoot 7-8 bags to get "high" when this would have been highly unlikely 10 years ago because of the quality.

didnt wanna make my own thread, i just snorted some dope and sneezed like a minute after, did i more or less lose my dope? i sneezed almost immediately , and there are times where i snort, then exhale and i see a cloud of smoke/powder
