Let's say you do not eat for more then 24 hours, will downers like opiates become more dangerous in terms of respiratory depression an/or cardiac arrest?

They become more "dangerous" due to the fact that your body absorbs more of the drug when your stomach is empty rather than when it is full. So taking anything on an empty stomach will cause your medicine to act stronger

and if they contain ibuprofen or acetaminophen it would be more toxic than if you had food in your system
