Do you ever forget certain states exist?

I feel sorry for you chinky. If there's one thing I can't stand, its stupid people.

same here, i definetly remeber geography and having to label all those maps

but i dunno history and geography are like my 2 favorite subjects after PE lol, til this day still really..so i always did good in them and to me they came somewhat easy cause i actually would do the homewrok and read the books, unlike everyother class that i didnt care about and did no homework and never opened the book.

i love traveling and learning about other peoples cultures and historic sites and landmarks and how these massive structures can be built by hand with no no modern tools and with no modern technology and have some still be standing 500, 1000, 2000 years later. yet we didnt have electricity harnessed for personal use until the 1890s or the motorized vehicle until the 1800s but not mastered and made feasable by all until the 20th century. but all those projects wer ethought of and built without the use of really anything. no calculators, computers or pencils even, just sticks and stones really, hell some of them were built and still standing without the use of mortar. let ssee someone build a brickhouse no a days without using mortar

what i especially like is the fact that these buildings were definetly built because they still stand. yet we have no idea as to how any of those buildings and monuments were built and transported to their place. like we have ideas and hypothesis on how they were constructed and we have even recreated some of these buildings and monuments t osfcale and even fullsize and even though the technique worked, we really dont know if that was how those people might have did it.

Yeah man history is cool like that. It's crazy to think how long ago these people did these things to the point where we're not even really sure how it went down. And way back when for the people who were part of it, it was really just the thing they were currently making happen.

I always liked geography and learning about the world itself. I also really like natural history. The other kind involving human history is cool as shit too real fascinating to think and learn about, but I hated taking it in school because that shit is pretty hard to learn in the sense that there's a lot of specific dates and places and names to memorize and just real easy to do bad in when tested for it because it's not like math or science where you just have to remember how to apply a basic idea to many different situations/ equations. Also my school spent way too much time dealing with like 12th century Europe and old Asian dynasties and shit, when I think back it feels like we barely got a chance to cover like ancient Egypt or Rome and the cool shit. I know it was all covered but I barely remember learning about anything that wasn't specifically about America that took place in the last couple hundred years like wars and just the evolution of society in general. All of that shit I make a point to soak in nowadays because history is cool to me I just hated it in school so I don't remember being in those classes specifically.

And yeah, I could totally name all the states if shown a map, probably even their capitols too. Don't they teach that to 4th graders?
With that said, I do kind of "forget" about certain states like South Dakota or fucking Nebraska just because nothing ever happens there, but no I don't ever entirely just not remember that states exist.

I found this, for funsies (and pretty much accurate):

That's pretty funny, and pretty true. I can definitely picture thats how Cali would see the states too. Maybe it's because it's all the way on the other coast, but LOL at how Philly actually shows up listed under New York whereas New York is listed as part of Jersey

I feel sorry for you chinky. If there's one thing I can't stand, its stupid people.
Oh yeah man I hear you there. It's one thing to act stupid once in a while, but people who are just straight up fucking idiots piss me off so much. Or worse is the ones that are but think/ try to act like they're not. Stupidity is a fucking disease, sometimes I hope it cures itself.

its one thingto be mentally challeneged stupid cause well thats not entirely your fault. but when youre just dumb because you are uneducated and lazy and just really out of touch with the modern world and cant talk about current events..i just dobnt have time for people like that. like ok i get it youre not into sports, thats weird for a guy born and rasied in cfhicago but ok but when you cant have a decent converstaion about anything..it sjust pathetic. likw i literally cant talk to him about anything with out being aggrivated. cause hes the type where you tell him something and he acts like he knows what your saying and then you ask him about it and hes got no clue and then you ask why he said he understood when he didnt and he sayd " oh i just didnt hear what you said,,then why did you say you understood? oh i dont know, i just did.

the best part was he got a decnt paying job driving a truck and was making like over 900/week..it flucuated but generally it was a minimum of 900 and the highest i seen was just under double that, it just depended how hard he wanted to work duting that week but he was gone allweek sunday night-friday night and my mom didnt like it and so he quit so he could be home more often and now he makes like 300bucks a week less and now my mom is bitching cause hes not making enough. and wants him to find a new job and thats what hes doing.

like i said the guy is a fuckin lame who doesnt have the balls to stick up for himself cause really hes got no place to go, hell he doesnt have a car to get to anyplace even if he did have other place to possibly go..straight up pathetic. if he was a drunk or a dope fiend at least that would make sense. but no hes just dumb

stupid song "fifty nifty" or some shit I learned in 4th grade forced me to memorize all states in alphabetical order :/ I forget about OK, Arkansas, and new Mexico.

Every time I travel people are like, is Hawaii part of US? Are you guys a state? I'm like yes, we're the 50th... And NO we don't wear coconut bras and live in grass shacks.

I was just talking to my boyfriend about this though--Hawaii people don't really care about the "continental us", except Vegas. :p

I tend to forget about Delaware. Last week I couldn't remember where our VP Joe Biden came from, and when someone said he was Delaware US Senator I was like "oh yea, I forgot Delaware was a state" lol.
