What ph the water should be.

Wow you guys make this sound like painting by numbers for kids, i wish i was as technically minded as some of you, im only 29 but feel well behind the times regarding this whole extracting techniqe stuff .. Wouldnt care but i loved science at school ! haha, Think ive got a whole lot more reading to do before even imagining doing this.

Ive read and watched loads of trip reports etc on dmt, and im itching to get goin ..

i wish i knew more about extractions, and more about this staight to base stuff. i have some bark, but know not how to extract it.

that procedure doesnt sound to hard though.

People make it sound harder than it is.

The dmt workshop vid is bang on, cant beleive how much easier it looks in practice than just in write ups ! thanks for putting it up, theres certainly hope for me yet.

Im gonna start obtaining the tek items and various liquid chemicals soon, then ill give it a go.

Hello, could someone critique my Lazyman-adaptation?

Protocol:

1. Starting with 50g of powdered Mimosa Hostilis Root Bark.
2. Add 50g of powdered MHRB to 400mL water, and add 8 tbsp lye.
3. Stir for 10 minutes.
4. Let sit for 2 hours.
5. Add 50mL Napththa to the MHRB-water-lye solution, mix for 20 minutes.
6. Remove the top DMT-containing Napththa layer with a turkey baster and put into a large flat glass container.
7. Repeat the extractions (5-6) twice more.
8. Blow air over the Napththa solution with a fan to accelerate evaporation.
9. After all the solvent has evaporated, collect DMT.

Questions:

1. How long should I wait and let the MHRB soak between extractions?

Any other problems?
