I was just wondering whether PPIs (Lansoprazole, Esomeprazole) will help potentiate Dihydrocodeine.

As PPIs reduce stomach acid production I thought that it would possibly result in less DHC being destroyed in the stomach.

Anybody have any thoughts or info. on this, it would be appreciated.

(P.S. I have had a quick look through Google but couldn't find any real answers)

Thanks in advance.

(Bonus question, when plugging DHC do you still need to lower the acidity of your stomach? Sounds stupid I know, just making sure.)

I can't find any reason why it wouldn't help, unless it inhibited something along the way?
