Departing Australia with supplements (for travel to us/canada)

Hi all,

Just wondering what the story is with travelling to the US/Canada with supplements is? I will need to take vitamins, minerals and a small amount of DHEA. Is this a problem or something they will be looking for either if I depart Australia or enter the US/Canada? I have travelled with supplements before and never had any trouble, no scripts but someone mentioned I needed to bring proof of prescription which makes me ask - is actually necessary?

australia being one of the mire strict countries in the world when it comes to drugs, I doubt you would have any problems as long as your supplements can be bought legally over the counter. the only thing I would check first is the DHEA as I think thats illegal unless prescribed or one of the 6x watered down variety.

you could also contact the embassies of both countries to be on the safe side
