Opioids Crushing 'Oxycodone Sandoz HCL40mg Modified Release'

With so much contradicting information out there, I thought'd i'd ask the question myself. Orally ingesting one of these Oxycodone Sandoz HCL40mg Modified Release pills only made me extremely tired so is it safe to crush these up and snort them as I see fit?
Current information out there seems to suggest crushing these type of pills is a likely death sentence.
