I am really really really struggling in this area at the moment and it's becoming extremely depressing.

control benzo habit with a view to detoxing at xmas
complete group presentation work
complete (read start) personal development plan
complete (read start) literature review
proactively engage with mental health services
don't kill self
organise my mess of half done uni work
start eating properly
get some exercise
find somewhere permenant to live
stay in contact with key people
cancel old direct debits
remove some cash from investments so I have money to live
tidy all my laundry
contact tutor regarding missed tutorial
contact university regarding failure to hand in assignment
find a way to want to engage with life

It's just making me depressed writing all this, as in real life my reaction is to just to want to blot it all out somehow.

I try and keep it simple cat..

Now that you have wrote them out, start doing these things every day and dont stress about it. If you start to freak then remind yourself that you actively working at what needs to be done and you will get it done so there is no need to make yourself miserable with stress, put some simple shit on there as well and consider breaking the more complex goals into easily done tasks. Then just start knocking them off. When you get anything done, give yourself the credit you deserve and you will get a shot of dopamine. Cross it off and just keep knocking off the easily done things. In a little while that uncomfortable stress will melt away to a large degree. Then just take a proactive approach and do your best to stay on top of what needs to be done.

Great idea -- I love it. Let's see.... I want to deny irrational fears and self-doubt and look for a job I WANT
I want to finally get the hell out of this awful self-imposed prison
I want to be less agoraphobic
I will exercise and get some work around the house done for sure! Yey, me.
