nope good credit not a cent in debt (other than a couple of driving fines on a payment plan :) )

the idea is when your about to pass in old age you meditate through the death.

death must be natural from what I know and not addled by drugs so one must be able to meditate through pain as well.

ye its Tibetan/ Buddist though I have a feeling it is also a part of older taoist practice.

something I have known about for some time.

I think it will take a generous donation and a trip overseas to learn.

I dont believe in suicide only genocide.

I am normally a happy go lucky person and love all without reserve.

for me to feel like killing my self it is a reflection on those around me.

which I dont :)

For those that there may be a difference and I imaging most relgious but anyone can throw in.
I would give an answer myself but loathe to influnce anyones response but will give my "take" and vote later if there are any answers

Poll (if I can get it to work on phone): Voters names are hidden to prevent any unlikely attacks and general fuckery.

So....
Do you prefer creation or destruction?
If you create good things you destroy the evilness, because u make it less potent and easy to spread, evilness cannot spread in a good place, it has no meaning.
It's like a field full of herbs, once you have variety and a healthy fertile soil, you can have "bad bugs", it doesn't matter, the good ones will control those bugs, creating balance.
To create is more fulfilling, but destruction has that filthy fun about it.. in anycase I think creating is better.

Destroy things bring me some kind a pleasure.....like to crash, destroy&burn some old furniture before put the new one.Creating something fills me with content.....of nice workin job-literally to build some with my own hands, alone, without help...then i light a cigarette and sit&watching what i've done...my thoughts dissapeared and feel tired, but content....almost meditation.

To create "what is" one must destroy the form that previously was. When one is creating a sculpture from a stone the act of creation is removing all the layers that are "hiding" the idea of what is being created. To create is to subtract. That's why the creations are always lesser fractals of the original whole. To create is to contract...to be aware of certain thing is to discard other things...to see one spectrum one must let go all other spectrums, all other ways of seeing. Creating is choosing and in choice there is a great loss...of everything but the chosen and attended. Life is actually one movement that can not be destroyed but to bring about the new form into being and seeing most other forms must be disregarded and thus destroyed. At least that's how I see it.

They're the same thing.

If you write on a piece of paper, you destroy the pencil as you write. When you type on a computer, molecules are being torn apart every second in your body to create the energy that lets your fingers move. For something to be created, something else must be destroyed. Everything is just constantly being converted.

So I have no preference. I just do what I do.

Nature requires a certain amount of destruction for creation. Some things have to die so others can live, etc. In the human world, sometimes you have to destroy something before you can create something else in its place, so I voted that the concepts are indivisible.

.. There are times I take pleasure in senseless destruction because basically I've been fucked up ; but in general I love to create (photography, writing, drawing, cooking, 'projects')...

that's how the hindus depict the basic being/change
they have 3 major gods to depict that:
Shiva: destroyer
Brahma: creator
Vishnu: preserver
If you think about it, in all existence in time there's something that is created, something that is destroyed and something that is preserved in that change...

Destroy to create, create to destroy.

The best happiness feedback loop I have found so far in my life, involved drawing with graffity markers on thin wooden planks that are thrown on top of a fire pit. The wood and ink have different timeframes in which they react to the fire. For a brief moment in time, maybe 5-30 seconds at most, one can observe beautiful optical illusions before the flames swallow it all.

A simple line becomes a ravine, a circle becomes a cavern in the heart of the flames, a wireframe cube turns the ash into an Escher landscape.

It was difficult to balance the high of creating and destroying, as more elaborate work did not necessarily translate to better illusions - but there was only one way to find out! I spent hours that night drawing and burning work after work. Hundreds of them, as some only required 5 seconds of effort and some ran up to half an hour before I lost my patience and wanted to try it out.

I had a great time. I love fire. I love drawing.

At some point friends started snatching plates from my hand, to "protect them" from my wanton destruction. They appreciated the effects, but disagreed with destroying my art in the process.

Everything is made of matter.
"Nothingness" would be a true definition of the word destroy because in order to destroy something it has to become nothing... We will never experience true nothingness. unless you believe in somehow being aware of nothing when you are nothing? Create is anything. From building a house, dropping nukes on Japan, or cooking an egg... You have taken matter and changed it into one for our another which in my opinion... Is still creating..

I'm no philosopher and I read no one's comments to keep my thoughts pure on my beliefs..I don't believe in shit to be honest lol

I'm pickin up what yer puttin down, bro.
So... to create a table we have to "destroy" a tree, for instance....
I do get that "things" only change forms. Burn something and there is smoke - whatever is contained therein - and residual is basically carbon.
Thanks for yer input and glad ya still with us, man.
Love always

Hell yea. Souls are not matter supposedly but if you believe in what you see or on TV.. We can see ghosts and with that being said. If we can see it, if it can manifest itself to do things, then in a sense a soul is still composed of some sort of matter. People way smarter than me will argue (like it's a fact) that light , souls, and things like this are energy. But if energy is made up of magnetic fields and electrons and shit like that...that is fucking matter then lol. Idk I'm done with that rant.

Hell yea bout to jig to that MFer right now with my son.

Genocide as in we exterminate ourselves? Like it's such a big problem on such a scale you would compare to genocide? Reminds me of a la cola nostra song

OK. I get it ...

I wish you all the best in pursuing this life-thread.

I think I came alive when I experienced a profound grief. I began to live then. My Social Science learning was stimulated by that grief and I became a specialist in normalising Others' sense of Loss.

When I had to do with someone who said s/he wanted to kill him/her self I never said they should not. Of course I would explore alternatives but I believe that such an act is theirs to complete if they wish.

I was astonished to discover from intending suiciders that the everyday feeling of ambivalence is, in fact, another face of mystery. Both these feelings can be rationalised as 'I don't know'.
In one case the person who was about to kill himself was motivated by the idea he would find out soon! Realising he was fixed on his purpose and simply wanted to share the importance of what he was doing with someone ... I wished him well.

(Re 'natural death': Aldous Huxley had his Wife inject him with a large dose of mescaline at the moment of his death.)

Surely you jest...?

Is this indicative that you are no longer interested?
I see the word:
ambivalence
and this may be the answer I cannot say that I know but damn sure aint stopping me from looking for the answers to all.
Spill them out for us cause I for one am open to grow from any wisdom you may hold esoteric.

Passive aggressive so forgive the attempt to manipulate.
