The lines I memorised the words to the porno movies/It was a new religion to me are a call out to the Marilyn Manson song Slutgarden, which this piece is kind of inspired by/a spiritual successor to..

**********

The trees died in this garden a long time ago
Their roots crowded out every secret cavity
Exposed each crack to the breath of the frost
Now I sit upon the black earth beneath its invisible moon
And I wait for the stars to forget me

The pages of a dirty magazine pass me by
Once upon a time I met these faded men
I memorised the words to the porno movies
It was a new religion to me
They're all gif sets now
Even words break the spell
And my appetites have become something windblown

I'm not lonely, I'm alone
I'll tell you that as many times as it takes
Till my tongue grows dry like this deadwood grove
My throat as hoarse as the bitter air
And corpseflower bursts into lifeless bloom

I'm sensing a certain peace that comes with being outcast? I certainly like the poem.

I think it needs some work, I like bits of it but overall it feels like it needs to be a bit tighter...glad you like it though, thanks! :)
