codeine dosage

so, ive tried codeine 4 times, and didnt feel anything. My max dose was 100-130ish mg. What would be the recomended but safe dosage? Ive seen divergent info on differente websites. I have liquid codeine syrup 3mg/ML, and dont know if i took too low of a dosage or if I simply dont metabolize it. So, what dose should I try to actually feel it? If I didnt feel 100+mg, do I not metabolize it into morphine?
 
can start at 100mg and work your way up to 200mg about an hour later and maybe smoke some weed. dont know about you but weed usually kicks in my nod when i dont feel much
