Bullets be flying every day...my friend just moved his family into a new apartment, got all unpacked, some new furniture, nice place...one week later his next door neighbor's house gets lit up at 630am. Shot the whole front up. Best solution, the alderman and city work to condemn the place as a gang/drug house, kick em out for good and put the orange seals on the doors. You don't want your kids living next to the bangers house and watch your block turn into a shooting gallery....
 
re: itchyscratchy.... The screen name is a nod (like the old saying of: "a tip of the hat") to my best friend that I met on here and a similar site years ago. While he no longer posts on this site or others...at that time he ran with a similar screen name and helped me through many of tough times and along the way we became best friends. through "harm reduction" advice and copping together we started to hang out. months later he was going thru some tough times and had nowhere to go so he moved in with me while his divorce was going on. ....So....after the long story, I just want you to know that I'm posting here because I have read many -o- posts here over the years....and before on topix while I was sick/depressed/feeling alone with my habit. All of the info and the community helped tremendously.
 
What part of the city is getting worse?

I used to live in Illinois in the early 90s and it was all okay. Super fine actually..

Logan Square is filled with Puertorican bicycle riding tour guides! you just have to let then now whether you want to go up or down...lol.
 
Enjoying the nice weather, lol, when I can...this work thing sorta gets in the way of enjoying much of anything.
actually I'm staying up late right now to enjoy the Xbox 360 we bought the kids for Xmas. Only time i can play is if they are asleep.
Bought a bunch of used, older games for them to start with. I'm playing Forza 3 right now. Also got Need for Speed:Hot Pursuit for car racing games. Anyone got suggestions for an 8yo & 5yo, I'm all ears. IOW, no violence, porn, or other unsuitable materials - that's for me.
As for the meds, I continue to take y scripts. Something gives me a fucking completely nauseated stomach, almost every morning. I fight through it, but not sure what that means.
Also got baseball practice this weekend. Practice is now outdoors, while the weather holds. I'm so thankful that my son loves it so far.
Ok, time to get back to gaming, or fall asleep on the couch. Its one or the other.

but your best bets prob gna be sports games... really cant think of any other non violent, non sexual games... hit up game stop or somewhere like that, they usually have a shit ton of used games...

(Really, I don't care what the answer is...) There's lots of advice and resources right in this thread and the previous ones, have you read them? Are you paying attention to someone who told you you're staying real close to hot areas where corner boys and cops play games daily?
What do you want, someone to trust you, set themselves up, commit possession and distribution felonies, just cause.....?

Read about it and go find it. Just like regular people do.

I got some. Honestly I'm just a spoiled girl back at home in New Orleans. Things work muchmuch differently there. Thanks tho. Being a pretty southern girl doesn't help much in these situations.

Other than that. Anyone recommend any good resturants or places to check out while I'm here? Fav waterholes or sights to see. Nothing silly like sears tower.

Picked up these bags today, black with golden skulls. Probably about 0.5g of powder in each one and it's obviously been stepped on like crazy. Burns like hell to snort, tastes like shit, and has some powder that somehow goes right to the back of my throat and makes me cough. Can't even bring myself to finish a bag and I'm usually capable of snorting anything. To be fair, they get the job done, but might be some of the worst dope I've gotten in this city ever. I miss the 2006-2008 days.
 
Sorry, sucks democrazy. welcome 1 poster. where'd you get the bags - be general, you get it, the rules and all. I know that my pc sometime had bags with cut that went straight into my lungs and sometimes didn't. the shit that bothered my lungs was finer, like talc, real light and white powder - i'd try to sniff about 4 bags at the same time (snorting sucks for getting high,, once you get past any tolerance) and i'd have to stop and breathe and blow powder out when i'd exhale....when you gotta sniff half a jab to get off, it begins to feel like work.

Anyway, friggin happy easter to you all, to anyone out there waking up. hope you're not sick today. got the usual text from the PC (this guy just won't quit - every day...) Happy Easter Sunday! Like, thanks mr. drug dealer, happy easter to you too! usually there some special deal, but nothing today.

One last bitch - I woke up sick as shit today. All in my stomach, like i was gonna puke, and had to shit and just a regular mess. I've been on sub for over a year now, and i swear the shit has messed up my digestion and stomach like crazy. i also ate a shitty McDonalds cheeseburger yesterday, cause the kids wanted McD's after baseball practice and playing in the park. But it can't just be that. I think it's the meds. So my insurance is kicking me off the Sub and putting me on Zubsolv. I've tlaked to my doc and he has experience with both, but the dosage is different for the Zub - it's in weird increments, not straight 2,4,8mg whatever like Sub. Why the fuck you make a med that's like 2.7mg per pill rather than a round number? So he thinks I'll have to increase my dose to get the same effect (I'm on 6 mg sub now). Fuck that. No desire to increase my dose, I want to go down. I'm gonna drop to 4, since I got one month before this switch and see what happens. Probably more waking up sick for me.

My PCs are exactly the same. I can have no contact with one for 6 months and sure enough he'll call/text out of the blue telling me has the Fire and I can get a jab or 2 to test for free. Luckily, iPhones have that simple block caller function that takes care of that. It's usually my fucked up self that decides to unblock them and listen to all the old messages.
I can't speak from personal experiences but I've had enough acquaintances on subs to know that even a 2 mg shift after that long of use will be felt. Hopefully you have some other stuff to take the edge off and I'm sure you do. Good luck and happy holidays all. Be safe.
