I didn't know much of the film other than a friend recommending it. I almost turned it off in the beginning because it moved pretty slowly but glad I kept it on!

I happened to enjoy the film a lot due to the fact that its plot incorporated a rather harsh reality of life in the age of social networking. Also, the disturbing sense of utter disenchantment experienced by Nev seemed to be something that you could easily imagine feeling yourself—had you been in his shoes. I voted three stars. The film had a plot that struck me, but wasn't formatted in a way that struck me enough to be amazed by the overall presentation. Still worth watching, though!

I thought it was fine. Can't say I'd watch it again though.

This is now a show on MTV! Nev is documenting the real life meetups of online relationships. Its a bit of a trainwreck but brings back emotions from my own catfish experience.

I'll give both the Doco (or movie?) and the shows a watch sometime, hadn't heard of either of them before.

If you've ever meet a girl or boy or prospective spouse online, then it's worth watching

I'd never heard of Manti T'eo, had to do a quick google and one of our local papers had just dropped a story on this 10 or so minutes ago, for anyone else who hadnt heard of him and his 'situation', here's the story -

'Very twisted and confusing scenario': Te'o's 'fake girlfriend' says she's victim of identity theft

A young woman whose image was stolen and used as the face of Manti Te'o's fictitious girlfriend said she had no idea who the football star was until her photograph was thrust into the spotlight last week.

Diane O'Meara claims she is the victim of identity theft on social media and has found herself unwillingly caught up in a

"very twisted and confusing scenario" in which she became the face of Te'o's "girlfriend" Lennay Kekua, who never existed.

Te'o, a star footballer at the University of Notre Dame in the US and runner-up for the Heisman Trophy,

claims he is the victim of a cruel and baffling online hoax in which someone using the fictitious name of Lennay Kekua apparently ingratiated herself with him.

Despite never physically meeting Kekua, Te'o, 21, said he believed he was in a relationship with the woman and communicated with her online and spoke daily to her on the phone.

But photos purportedly showing Kekua on social media were taken from the Facebook account of Ms O'Meara, a 23-year-old marketing executive from Los Angeles.

"It's very bizarre and it's a very twisted and confusing scenario," Ms O'Meara told NBC

I missed the interview with her on the Today Show this morning. Although I typically hate this type of "news," in this context it is personal from my past experiences.

i watched this last night. it was pretty good but it disappointed me in the end. [spoil]if i find out later the whole thing was a hoax, i will not be surprised.[/spoil]

I've seen most of the movie on TV, but haven't seen it all yet. The TV show is pretty good, but kind of a downer. I've seen a number of episodes and I've yet to see one where one of the people isn't completely lying.

I also find some of the people a bit annoying with their utter gullibility and naivete.

I watched part of it.

Brother has received a lot of flack regarding this docu. A lot of people calling it the greatest fake docu they have seen. Why start filming something so innocuous at the beginning? There are other holes, too, obviously.
