Cannabis legalization in Czech republic

Hi Guys

I heard a lot about Cannabis legalize in Czech republic. But while my trip in Prague i noticed that there are no actual points of sale for this stuff. Can anyone clarify what is real situation in Czech with Cannabis?

It definitely wasn't legal when I was there in late 2012, however it was not difficult to find and I had no issues smoking fairly openly.

As far as I know, using the drug for your own purpose has been more or less decriminalized, but definately not legal. so you're not going to find any coffeeshops. medical has been legalized though, but from what I've heard, the system isn't planned very well (cannabis gets supplied only by approved (pharmaceutical) companies for insane prices and a prescription isn't easy to get either).

^ Yep - you're allowed to carry a personal amount on you, that has been decriminalised.

I seem to recall incessantly being offered it when I went there 10 years ago by people on the street. I would avoid them like the plague.
