If they have cannabis abuse on their medical record? Assuming that they have a debilitating condition(s) that qualifies them as a proper patient for medical marijuana, if the doctor who is providing the recommendation/certification (say at a state medical marijuana clinic) seeing "cannabis abuse" or "cannabis intoxication" on the patients' medical records (since these are required), can/would they still give them a card? Very curious question, could not find the answer anywhere online.

Prior cannabis use does not disqualify a person from getting their card. As far as prior "abuse" goes, that I'm not sure.

Prior cannabis use makes it easier to get imo Most accusations of cannabis abuse is over exaggerated even just use is known as abuse. It's bs you should be fine.

Aside from those awesome states that have legalised the recreational use of cannabis, wouldn't any and all use outside of prescription be classed as ab(normal)use, given there would be no defined "normal" use? haha digressively splitting hairs here, don't mind me...
