Can one take Clonidine that's made for oral administration sublingually instead?

I don't even know if "sublingually" is a word but you catch my drift.

To reiterate, I'm prescribed Clonidine for anxiety (I take it with other anxiety meds) that's meant to be swallowed but I'm wondering if it can also be taken under the tongue.

I know there's Clonidine that specifically made to take under the tongue but I don't have that kind. I'm having bad anxiety so im hoping i can just pop it under my tongue to have it work more quickly but I can't find an answer for my question on Google, so that's where y'all come in, hah.

Much appreciation 💜

The answer is yes! But it probably isn't going to taste great.
