Hi,

I am currently on 200mg sertraline, 30mg mirtazapine, 0.15mg clonidine per day and 50mg oxazepam as needed. Is it safe to ad another 100mg codeïne with all of these?

Is there a risk of serotonin syndrome?

Is there a risk of respiratory depression?

Does 200mg sertraline completely block the conversion of codeïne to morphine? Or does it still work?

Thanks

Serotonin syndrome should not be a major concern. Respiratory depression should only be a serious concern if you're already sedated when you consume the Codeine. The activity you're describing with your enzyme activity in reaction to Sertraline (Zoloft), that's tricky. I'm trying to dick around with some other business right now and only have a limited time for forums, so I'm going to give you a little bit of light reading. You should be able to get the main idea by reading this material and giving it 5-10 minutes of thought.

Implying that an introductor-level dosage of Sertraline could be enough to seriously alter CYP2D6 activity:
