Can be gold marijuana capsules detected by drug sniffing dogs

Does anyone know if marijuana gold caps (essentialy they are like vitamin E caps) can be detected by drug sniffing dogs?

That's an interesting question.

There's really two parts to it... Can drug dogs smell through gelatin capsules? And if so have the dogs been trained to smell the cannabinoid liquid inside them?

No idea.

Dogs don't smell the cannabinoids, they smell certain terpenes and oxidized compounds associated with the cannabis plant that are volatile and that dogs happen to have a high sensitivity to.

The long and short of it is, if they are cannabis capsules made with natural hash oil, you run a risk of detection, as the traces of scent compounds will slowly diffuse out of the gelatin.
