It's not at all about the nudity or sexual appeal. That may get them in the door and you will get some small amount of money from that, but your serious money comes from regulars who don't come to see you for t&a. They come to see you because they like YOU (or imagine they like you) to the point that they want to show their appreciation by paying/tipping you just for being online and spending time with them. That's the real reason why camgirls are successful. Yes you can watch a porn clip for free but it lacks personal interaction. Unless you're trying to get White House employee clearance and you're trying to give Jenna Jameson a run for her money it's not as big of an issue as it would seem. Porn stars have a harder time with this than amateur cam girls. The beauty about remaining an amateur is that you can retain some level of anonymity.

But believe me when I tell you there are plenty of people looking for just about every type of body shape under the sun. Past that like I said it's just about personality and self-discipline. I average between $30-$50/hr. It'd be awesome if I could work 8 hours a day, I'd be making a killing (by my standards). As it stands I'm only doing about 2 hours a day, but that extra $50-100 for only a couple hours suits me fine. Top camgirls are easily making 5-figures a month. The site I work on, all the girls in top 100 are doing 5 figures and up.
