Hiya,

Is anyone here a cam girl or has been and can they give any pointers to potential earnings? As in is it worth your while?
Yes I know it is dependent upon looks and how good you are with clients.
Any advice greatly appreciated.

I have a friend whose girlfriend now does it. She gets $500/show average and does it M/W/F - so $1500/week. You do the math, thats a little over $70k a year (I don't have a calculator) something like 74 if I'm not mistaken (my friend who dated her found other girls earning $800-$1000+ per show. Yea it's serious!)

You have to be different though. There are a lot of girls with girls, girls with guys, you want something that a lot of men can fantasize to. If you would like ideas just look up the most popular porn topics. You can PM me or any of the non weirdo guys here and I'm sure they can give you more than enough ideas to get some stuff started.

I would recommend as well that you find a good guy friend (or girl friend) that likes being on camera as well. 2 people doing each other is always hotter than 1 doing themselves.

I've been camming for a few years. My best night was $1400 (my cut) in around an hour and a half, fully clothed. I'm nothing special either, it's all about getting a good fan base. I have a friend on the same site as me that usually makes $30,000 a month, the highest I've heard about was $50,000 in a month. I'm not joking. But also won't be surprised if people think I'm making that up. Lol.

But of course not everyone is like that, lots of girls sign up expecting to just log on and have money rolling in. It takes commitment and time to make the big bucks, but in my opinion it's very easy to make enough to get the bills paid.

I love my 'job' I have anxiety/depression and I get to choose when I work. A lot of the time I won't even do shows, I just get on and chat and still make money, it's awesome :)
 
I used to do it and I found it was really difficult to make a living at (and yes, I was attractive, young, experienced in similar industries, and put a lot of effort into my shows and being "different" etc), plus it takes a long time to establish yourself and you have to put a ton of time into it. People like the woman Smok3y mentioned above are extremely rare. But you can always try it out and see what happens, just don't have any expectations that you will easily make anywhere near that kind of money, especially when you're first starting out. Make sure you find a reliable site to do it through.

One thing that I really hated was that if someone committed credit card fraud or did a chargeback on their card then that money was taken out of my earnings. This happens quite frequently and I was not impressed when I spent 2 hours doing a show and made no money from it. You also have to be ok with the idea of showing your face in your photos and doing free webcam chat where you have no idea who is watching you. During the free chats you have to try to get people to do a paid show with you and put up with them constantly trying to convince you to get naked for free, etc.

The idea of being in a room full of other creepers creepin' is odd to me, especially when you can see them. I like to do my creepin' in private mostly.

i have just started doing this and am quite happy with what have been earning! although you cant rely on it as an income. and there is some pretty pervy men out there.
 
I don't think I could do it only because if you ever wanted to be taken seriously professionally and someone found it, you'd be done. I haven't had a job ever that didn't do a background check, and I'd be afraid that someone would find images of me.

I was friends with a girl who did voyuerdorm and she made $1000/week (when she did it which was a while ago). Plus, she got "tips" to go on the bus and liven up bars. She had sex and did lesbo stuff for the cash on camera. That was basically her "job." Threesomes were done too. She also talked to them and took requests. There were about 10 girls in the house I believe, so it was basically a big party for her while she did it.

She was out of it when we were friends, but she was terrified of someone finding her, because by that time, she was graduating college and wanted to be a professional. You just can't expect to be taken seriously in a business environment if your cooch is all over the Internet and your boss or teammates find you. That was her biggest fear professionally, and she was also afraid her fiance would find out too. Her fiance knew she partied, but he didn't know she partied that hard. lol

She attributed it to being young and stupid and just going for the cash, but it's something to think about when you do it.
 
They changed their policies on a lot of cam websites, and it used to be a lot easier to make money.

I also don't really understand why people pay to watch women and men get naked on cam on the internet either? There are tons of people who will do it for free, or who are daily exhibitionists who like to have other adults watch them via webcam.

Even if someone has a fetish or kink you can easily find people who are into doing that on cam for free.
