Bupropion + H2SO4

If one would heat a mixture of bupropion(Voxra/wellbutrin) and H2SO4 to replace the Cl and O with hydrogen, would the result be working amphetamine or would the remaining methylgroup harm the substance in some way? Is there any easy way for demethylation in this scenario?

This reaction won't happen, you'll just make a tarry mess.
