so i'm scrolling through craigslist for ways to make extra money, some of you know i'm broke.

i run through the adult film and webcam ads without batting a lash but am always tempted by the more photographic modeling ads, the ones asking for boudoir models and pin-ups.

i've always wanted to do something along these lines but also strongly object to anything that would expose me in ways that would make me feel as if i'd sold my soul.

ideally i would be a few pounds lighter to do something like this, but still- amuse me.

what are your thoughts on such?

As long as it doesn't involve more than you're willing to do, why not? It's great money but some gigs are a bit shady.
Beats minimum wages though, I'd give it a go. If you don't like it you can always walk away.

im with T on this.

ya mentioned its something you always wanted to do, so try it out. if u feel uncomfortable doing anything asked or disrespected let it be known and if it continues just bounce like a satellite in orbit =)

It doesn't matter what anyone thinks. If you want to do it, go for it!

If you want to, go for it. If you don't feel comfortable, don't.

What would make you feel like you "sold your soul"?

I'm pro-adult modeling, etc. If the person is comfortable with it. I understand many people aren't, which is fine, everyone is different. But for those who are, I think it's great for them, regardless of the social stigma. The only thing to be careful of is if you are doing anything other than solo work and it's with someone who isn't your partner. You can make a decent amount of money doing solo stuff, obviously more with a partner, but the opportunities for solo work are definitely out there. Just make sure you always find a legit company.

im guessing it would make someone feel they sold their soul because it perpetuates the cycle of porn addiction, kind of like being involved in dealing a drug that some people get hooked on, and some people can chip forever

but so long as you feel ok with it then go for it, personally i would only do something like that for art purposes but not low-brow entertainment, isnt there a need for nude life-models for art classes where you live, thats a better option imo

Porn addiction is only a small part of the adult world. But doing anything can participate in the cycle of addiction. I mean... pharmacists. They prescribe drugs that could get people hooked. Cooks... they cook food that could make people addicted (food addiction). There are so many things.

So I don't see why porn is any different in the "addiction" sense.

i view even soft pornography as a slippery slope, from a young male perspective, a thought of a bus stop ad that had a sexy girl dressed in lingerie, used to be enough for me to start looking at hardcore pornography later in the day

i view todays society as hypersexual, i dont see this as healthy because it is quite extreme, money is not > than ideals

Hey baby, I make pretty good money as a pharmacy tech. I do my px90 workout and use moisturizing lotion to keep my skin young, too.

Hello?
